Dr. Laurent Demanet’s academic work and research include computational physics, remote sensing, imaging, signal processing, wave propagation and machine learning. He has made many advances to the development of fast algorithms and machine learning for geophysics and questions motivated by real-life challenges in seismic and radar imaging. Dr. Demanet is Professor of Applied Mathematics at MIT and Director of the Earth Resources Laboratory.
Dr. Sylvain Jaume's academic and industry work include computer vision, data science, image-guided surgery, medical imaging, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Dr. Jaume is founding director of two data science programs and a data science institute. He has held professorship in computer science and has served as dean and chair for a range of science, engineering and interdisciplinary programs.
